About the communities we work in

The organization operates within the framework of Cameroon's administrative divisions, which are structured into 10 semi-autonomous regions, each governed by an elected Regional Council. This system was established through a presidential decree in 2008, transitioning from provinces to regions. At the helm of each region is a governor appointed by the president, tasked with implementing presidential directives, maintaining peace, overseeing civil service administration, and reporting on regional conditions.

Within these regions, the organization focuses on engaging with youths across various levels of administrative subdivisions, including divisions (departments), sub-divisions (arrondissements), and districts. These subdivisions are headed by appointed officers who carry out governance functions on smaller scales. The organization collaborates with local leaders and stakeholders to identify needs of youths and implement tailored programs and initiatives.

In rural areas and urban slums alike, the organization's work spans diverse sectors such as education, skills development, community development, and advocacy. Through scholarships, vocational training, infrastructure projects, and awareness campaigns, the organization aims to empower youths, improve livelihoods, and foster sustainable development in the communities it serves.

By leveraging its understanding of the administrative structure and collaborating with local authorities, we strive to maximize impact and reach across Cameroon's diverse landscapes, ensuring that our initiatives address the specific needs and challenges faced by youths at each administrative level.
