We work with vulnerable children, youth and their families in the state of Utah of the United States. This population is at the will of their guardians and suffer both in body and spirit due to the choices of others. Our clients come from school districts, DCFS, other nonprofits, refugees, and others referencing children and youth they work with.

A Utah where no child or youth fall through the cracks and feel valued
- Assist in Rotary capital campaign for the Milestone Housing Project
- Expand our refugee assistance efforts by recruiting skilled and willing volunteers
- Explore partnerships with our groups aiding refugees in Utah
- Create written material for refugees for when they first arrive in their native language to understand the difference in customs
- Recruit more willing and skilled long term volunteers
- Expand services to an additional district
- To become familiar with funding opportunities and requirements/processes for application
- Support a completed Milestone Housing Project with ongoing materials and other requests to ensure it's success
- have an established refugee committee fully engaged in addressing the needs of incoming refugees
- to increase the number of funding opportunities
- spread services to 3-5 additional districts
We are dedicated, respectful, advocates, and understand the meaning of relationships.
We are dedicated in seeking all those in need.
We show respect to those we serve.
We advocate for them wherever we can.
We value and depend on the relationships we make as a community.
There are gaps in services provided to Utah's children and youth due to a wide variety of things: lack of funding, red tape, restrictions of organization scope, etc. To identify the gaps in services Reach Out Today collaborates with other non-profits, school workers, social workers and others that labor for the welfare of vulnerable children and youth. As a result of this work Reach Out Today has established 4 programs: Feed the Gap, Clothe the Gap, The Hygiene Gap, and The Transition Gap. In addition to the projects and initiatives within these programs, Reach Out Today assists in individual cases of need based on requests made through our partners and concerned parties. We don't work to duplicate but to fill in where others cannot.

To highlight just a few of our impact numbers of 2022: We provided 300% more food packs and donations then in 2021. We distributed over 3500 hygiene kits. We made 112 Family First Kits for children and youth struggling with the relationships in transitioning into and out of foster. care. By partnering with the community, over 200 children who would not have received Christmas presents instead received a collective 1000+ presents! We had 2 Shop-a-thons through the generosity of Ken Garff that provided over 200 children in poverty with much need clothing items and a chance to feel valued.
Mountain West Commercial Real Estate and many community individuals donated generously this year to help youth transitioning in foster care, as refugees, and from homelessness into stability. We had a non-cash grant from LDS Humanitarian which helped us provide beds to many children without, and hygiene items plus food for low income families struggling.
Funding is always a struggle when there is need everywhere you go. We have been able to provide for each request through community fundraising, but there have been decisions about expanding our services to more in need that are limited by our access to resources.
We have partners everywhere we go. We work with United Way, School District administrators, government programs, and other non-profits regularly to identify children and youth who have needs that are falling through the gaps. They send in requests and we have on new clients to provide them with what they need to make it through another day. We have been blessed this year to work on large events with some corporate partners this year. Marq, VENETO Ristorante Italiano, and several community churches donated thousands of presents this Christmas for children going without. Ken Garff put on 2 shop-a-thon events supporting hundreds of kids in acquiring clothing items they desperately needed.
