We work in communities facing generational cycles of poverty and limited access to health education—places where reproductive health and wellbeing are often stigmatized or left unaddressed. These culturally rich communities, full of wisdom and resilience, are navigating economic and social barriers that make early intervention essential.
Our programs are taught in schools, churches, clinics, community centers, and homes—meeting individuals where they are and honoring local customs and values. Local teams—including educators, farmers, sourcing staff, administrators, and artisans—collaborate to deliver holistic, culturally rooted trainings that honor the interconnectedness of mind, body, environment, and spirit.
We teach youth and families about the menstrual cycle, fertility, emotional awareness, personal agency, and respectful relationships using our trauma-informed curriculum and tools. In regions impacted by unplanned pregnancy, poverty, and trafficking, we equip individuals with knowledge and resources that shift generational cycles. Our work includes instructor training, curriculum translation, school partnerships, and the distribution of the LETS Bracelet—a natural cycle awareness tool. We also track long-term impact on attitudes toward health, relationships, and self-worth, fostering resilient families and communities from the inside out.

LETS offers a proven, trauma-informed curriculum that addresses the root causes of unplanned pregnancy, trafficking, and abuse. Local teams are deeply embedded in their communities, earning trust through culturally attuned delivery. Our tools—like the LETS Bracelet—blend education with practical, daily impact. Leadership brings over 30 years of experience in holistic health and humanitarian strategy. Materials are bilingual, multi-generational, and adaptable across diverse global regions.
Current operations rely heavily on the founder for funding, leadership, and execution. Core team capacity is limited, creating bottlenecks in scaling and delegation. Digital systems for training, affiliate coordination, and outcome tracking are still in development. The brand structure between nonprofit initiatives and potential earned-income branches needs clearer legal and operational distinction.
There is growing global demand for preventative, values-based reproductive and life skills education. LETS is positioned to partner with NGOs, schools, and governments seeking scalable, community-rooted programs. Product sales—such as Bloom Kits, cacao, and essential oils—offer sustainable revenue opportunities. Societal trends show increasing interest in youth empowerment, body literacy, and gender-inclusive health education.
Political and economic instability in key countries (e.g., Haiti) may hinder on-the-ground implementation. Cultural and religious sensitivities can challenge the acceptance of reproductive health education. The nonprofit sector is highly competitive for funding, visibility, and partnerships. Sustained impact may be compromised by staff burnout or turnover in underfunded and overextended roles.

Launched operations in Colombia, with instructor trainings, artisan partnerships, and community outreach in Medellín and Cartagena. Translated all educational materials into Spanish, enabling full curriculum and product delivery across Latin American regions. Established new partnerships in Guatemala, including cacao sourcing for Bloom Kits and alignment with anti-trafficking nonprofits. Maintained full operations in Haiti despite extreme gang violence and political instability—continuing educator training, bracelet production, and youth education. Founder Kristin Van Wey spoke at the Volcano Summit, elevating LETS’ mission on a global innovation stage. Finalized Bloom Kit design for two age groups, including culturally tailored resources, cycle tracking tools, and ethical product sourcing. Strengthened digital infrastructure, expanding CRM, multilingual course delivery, and instructor support systems. Completed Bangla translation of the curriculum and deepened program groundwork in Cox’s Bazar refugee communities. Created dignified employment opportunities for new artisans and sourcing staff in Colombia, Bangladesh, and Haiti. Expanded U.S. outreach in Tennessee, Utah, and Miami-Dade County—including school partnerships and Bloom Kit preparations. Integrated updated human trafficking prevention tools into all trainings, with new visuals, tracking maps, and culturally appropriate resources.
In 2024, LETS’ growth and stability were made possible through the extraordinary generosity of our private donors and values-aligned small businesses. Our private donors were the true catalysts of impact this year. Their consistent support allowed us to translate all curriculum and program materials into Spanish, launch our work in Colombia, and develop and prepare the LETS Bloom Kit for distribution. These donors also made it possible to expand our digital infrastructure, marketing, and social media outreach, which are essential for scaling globally. We were also blessed to receive strategic contributions from Eddleman & Eddleman, Essentials First, and Green Air—whose funding supported program development, international expansion, and core operations. In Bangladesh, a generous business donation helped us begin program rollout, while another dedicated donor now funds the monthly payroll and operational costs for our team there—ensuring continuity and dignity for our local instructors. Together, these contributions allowed us to expand into new countries, reach more families, and strengthen our systems without compromising our values. Every donor, whether individual or institutional, helped us extend our mission with integrity and grace.
Our growth has been larger and faster than our funding can keep up. We needed funding to hire executive positions to specialize in particular Department needs. Some of the countries we work in have significant government and gang issues as well as natural disasters that have inhibited where we can travel. Our operation costs have exponentially increased to inflation such as gas, power and basic operational expenses. Water was scarce in our majok fields which created challenges with production. Our staff have been personally impacted by incredible hardships, yet they endure and continue to expand our mission through their passion in this solution.
In 2024, collaboration was essential to both our resilience and our reach. By working closely with trusted partners, we were able to adapt, expand, and deepen our impact in diverse global communities. In Haiti, despite escalating violence and instability, our long-standing partnerships with local educators, artisans, and sourcing teams allowed us to continue delivering training, producing bracelets, and reaching families with dignity-based education. These relationships ensured continuity when national systems were breaking down. In Colombia, regional NGO partners helped us launch our programs in Medellín and Cartagena, train new instructors, and begin localized bracelet production. Their cultural insight and logistical support fast-tracked implementation and community acceptance. In Bangladesh, youth leaders from YASID helped us bring education to Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka—co-teaching and contextualizing reproductive health content in settings where public dialogue is still limited. We also established new strategic relationships in Guatemala, began cacao sourcing, and aligned with nonprofits working in trauma recovery and youth restoration. LETS is increasingly recognized as a foundational resource for other organizations. We train the staff of partner NGOs, schools, and community groups in the LETS curriculum so they can bring education directly to their own families, clients, and networks. Organizations such as African Impact and others continue to use our curriculum as part of their long-standing programming—proving the relevance, adaptability, and impact of our approach. Every organization we train has a deep need for this education, and we love extending our mission by equipping those who already carry established relationships of trust in their communities. This model multiplies impact, ensures cultural sensitivity, and strengthens ecosystems of care and prevention from within. Together, these partnerships are not just supportive—they are strategic, sacred, and essential to generational change. We have a three day in person Instructor Training Program in Haiti and our Advanced Instructors prepare and launch partnering staff to integrate our 6 lessons on: reproductive and sexual health, family planning, personal safety and trafficking, having a healthy mind, body, spirit and environment into their programs. We offer this same training in English online, providing all materials and tools to orgs outside out in person locations. We partner with parents and individuals who want to become certified to bring our materials into their local English speaking communities and projects. Collaboration and unifying missions is an excellent way to grow together.
